Physio Pod Service

A Physio and Podiatry Consultation

This is an innovative service formed with the collaboration between Lead Specialist Physiotherapist,  Jemma Donald and Leading MSK Podiatrist, Zoe Wilson  from ZW Clinics. Together, we have created the Physio Pod Service—a unique, multidisciplinary offering designed to address the complexities of lower limb conditions.

Who Can Benefit?

If you’re battling problems with your feet or ankles that may also be accompanied by knee pain, hip discomfort, or lower back issues, the Physio Pod Service is tailored for you! Our approach ensures that every aspect of your condition is thoroughly assessed and treated under one roof. The benefits of two highly qualified and experienced clinicians seeing you together is very powerful and is now seen as a gold standard approach.

What to Expect:

During your initial assessment, which lasts 90 minutes, our dedicated team will perform a comprehensive evaluation. Here’s how we do it:

  • Comprehensive detailed information gathering often done pre-assessment through form filling.

  • Detailed Mechanical Assessment: Using pressure plates, we gain insights into your foot mechanics, helping us identify any dysfunction. We may use a treadmill for gait analysis if needed.

  • Ultrasound Scanning: This advanced imaging technique allows for precise diagnostics of soft tissue injuries. This may be utilised if deemed necessary.

  • Customized Treatment Planning: If custom orthotics are deemed necessary, we coordinate their development for your specific needs.

  • Strength Testing: Understanding your strength levels aids us in formulating a tailored recovery plan, ensuring effective progress.

Follow-Up Sessions:

If further treatment is required, follow-up appointments generally last 60 minutes. However, depending on your unique needs, we may refer you to additional specialized services for a holistic approach to your care.

The Physio Pod Service stands as your one-stop shop for thorough assessment and effective treatment of complex / multi-faceted lower limb conditions.
