Hayley Bearman
Specialist Physiotherapist
Hayley qualified with a first-class honours degree in physiotherapy in 2007 from University of Plymouth. As a student she had a fantastic opportunity to provide physiotherapy at the Rip Curl Board Masters, the Brands Hatch Super Bikes Championships, Plymouth Half Marathon and the Relentless NASS Festival.
She worked in a private outpatient Musculoskeletal (MSK) practice once qualified then completed her junior rotations for the Isle of Wight NHS. This included Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal, Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation including amputees, Medicine including MAU, Surgical, and Respiratory ICU including on-calls.
She then worked for Virgin Care as a Band 6 then 7 Clinical Team Leader in MSK Physiotherapy Outpatients, where she managed complex clinical musculoskeletal conditions and supervised/supported a small clinical team. This included paediatrics, obstetric, complex spinal and peripheral conditions, chronic back education classes, lower limb, spinal stabilisation, hip and knee classes.
She relocated to Guernsey and worked at Guernsey Therapy Group from 2016-2024 working in Orthopaedics, Elderly/Amputee Rehab and Falls clinic leading Balance classes. Hayley also participated in the respiratory on call service. Then changing role as Team Lead/Re-ablement Physiotherapist in adult community services.
Hayley is currently working towards her acupuncture qualification and leads on elderly rehab taking our Older Adult’s balance and mobility class
She enjoys many hobbies, including kayaking, swimming, hiking, cycling, gym and yoga
